A story full of science twist and turns.

The Shifters crosses the university halls, the laboratories and enters the houses of the tv series fans, the curious, those who are attracted by science and those who do not know to love it yet.

The research shows itself in its most fascinating side made of planning, of paths that intertwine and break sometimes, love stories, twists and turns. A tv series, just like Black Mirror, Mars or Dr. House, allows us to immerse ourselves in complex and passionate experiences, leaving us space to deepen and transfer into the everyday world every single teaching. With this expedient the research reaches the audience and recounts with an unconventional language what happens in the university world.

The actors of the research.

This is how The Shifters reveals the faces of the researchers, the heroes of our time who are studying the future with their researches, predicting it and trying to change it thanks to progress and technological development.

A mixture of important, complex and very relevant issues that, transposed into a series of episodes characterised by a purely fictional narration, can become accessible to everyone.

That’s how the Research enters the homes of a special audience, society. It crosses it inside the everyday life, in the nights spent on the couch wondering why. And creates a gap between the safety cushions where we blissfully live, a small void filled with questions where we fall to, not to hurt ourselves but to understand deeply, to stand up and face tomorrow with more awareness.

University and society.

The University comes out from its ivory tower, breaks down prejudices and talks with each one of us, giving us the possibility to deepen into extraordinary topics on the base of our attitude and our curiosity. A special occasion to understand that Research and society, seemingly distant, are instead close and influence each other mutually. On one side science draws inspiration from what happens in the world to strike up new researches, on the other side society relies on the experts to understand the present and secure the future.
